Emily Edits : vol. 02 ✨
Welcome to Emily Edits: vol.02
There’s something about the tail end of winter that gets me noticing the softer details …
Perhaps it’s the way the light begins to shift, or the quiet pull toward pieces that feel gentle, tactile, deeply considered. This month, everything’s drifting towards watery tones and delicate textures. Maybe that’s Pisces season quietly weaving its way in.
Here are a few gems that have caught my eye lately:
(clockwise from top left)
Lingerie Love
I‘m going through a phase of keeping half an eye on Araks.
When I start thinking about refreshing my lingerie drawer, this is often where I go first, to gather inspiration. Consciously crafted lingerie and swimwear, with the foundational intention “Having women feel beautiful and strong, empowered to be exactly the way they want to be”. I want some of that.
The Araks world is full of thoughtful colour and beautifully considered fabrics, as inspiring as they are wearable - and if you happen to arrive during a seasonal sale, I think you’ll find their customer service very good …
Simply noticing where an inspiring brand is moving with colour or fabric can spark ideas elsewhere ✨
Gem Drops
“Ornamentation for living, crafted through a jewellery designer’s lens.”
I’m so drawn to J.Hannah’s dreamy website - objects for “living in and living with” styled with thoughtful fabrics, softened colours, and that signature quietly luxurious sense of restraint. Each one-of-a-kind styled gem drop feels less like a pendant and more like a small collected object with its own character and story. This is the kind of place I love to linger for visual inspiration ✨
You might recognise the J.Hannah line of carefully-edited, high-quality nail polishes in shades inspired by artists’ palettes, natural elements, and curiosities (of course!), while Jess Hannah’s “interdisciplinary experimentalism” also includes a range of lighting, a curio vase, a perfume vessel.
I love it when the way a brand presents its world stays with us.
Dusk * Dawn * Day
“Faune nightwear is designed to be worn both night and day” 🤍
If I had to choose one piece of sleepwear I have loved more than any other, it would be the Primrose slip from Faune - a piece I reach for again and again, both nostalgic and completely timeless. This very treasured gift, received a good few Christmases ago, took me from drooling over vintage inspired nightgowns designed to be worn both night and day, to owning one.
While the range has expanded, the romance has stayed firmly put, though never at the expense of comfort, and since that memorable Christmas I’ve invested in other Faune designs I return to again and again - a cami that can both shape the mood of a morning and sit prettily under an evening jacket; a soft cotton and lace vintage-inspired blouse immediately at home paired with dungarees.
Camelia (pictured above) is another Faune favourite - flowing cotton voile featuring a lace trimmed neckline and dramatic broderie anglaise frill. How is it nostalgic details remind me to enjoy slow mornings, unhurried evenings and the small rituals that can make an ordinary day feel just a little more special?
Raw Beauty
Some objects stop me in my tracks, and the onyx hanger from Caan Crudo did exactly that - it’s the sort of detail that will inspire an entire room.
Caan Crudo translates as “raw cane”. Based in Mexico City, and working with materials and crafts passed down through generations, pieces from stone to silverware, leather-ware to clothing, are developed in a slow and careful process to the same brief: “We believe in the natural connection that exists when working with our hands: respecting the timing, understanding the cycles of each material, and allowing each piece to find its shape without haste.”
The Caan Crudo world is layered, tactile and infused with storytelling, in a way that feels very aligned with the spaces I create.
